Where to look first when bookings stall
By Host Mia, StayFlow
When an operating stay earns less than expected, the cause is usually on the sales side rather than the building. This is the order we check in.
First, whether the name, star rating and check-in time match across every channel. Guests judge price by the lowest-looking information.
Second, whether the five lead photos justify the price. Wide-angle shots of a bed make a room look small and dark.
Third, the Google Maps listing and review count. Overseas guests check location and reviews on the map before booking.
Fourth, price gaps between channels on the same date. Fifth, sorting recurring complaints into what facilities, house guides or listing copy can fix.
